it went just swimmingly! i am SO pleased. he's very nice, and clearly cares very deeply about his work.
we must have talked for an hour or more, and i garnered so much insight from him- about war, about photography, about everything.
definitely someone who i'd be honored to keep in touch with!
THEN, when i got home, i checked 20X200 (excellent art site, genius idea). i usually look, but never buy, but today, what did i see but a piece by mickey smith. and so, since the day was going well so far anyway, i just had to buy it.
it's not my favorite of hers, but this series is SO wonderful, since i love photography AND words. a very wise purchase, i think. i can't wait for it to arrive!
